As part of a new identity design package for Seattle writing coach Rachel Whalley’s company Write with Meaning, we came up with these business cards.

A lot of people have writing anxiety, Rachel said, so she wanted a new look for her logo and business cards that would clearly show working with a writing coach doesn’t have to be intimidating. The right design had to convey Rachel’s energetic and friendly approach.
After presenting the new cards to a bunch of new people one day, Rachel wrote to say, “Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, told me how great my card was.”
We put ourselves in the customer’s shoes to come up with the “write better” copy on the back of the card. We went with warm colors and soft, round edges, and picked a sans-serif font to give the impression of modernity and professionalism. Knowing exactly what type to use and design to lay out wasn’t hard, as we’d gone through a comprehensive identity design process when creating the new logo for Write with Meaning.
Rachel is hosting a class on business blogging today at Seattle Central Community College. You can register for $30 at the door for “Rock Your Business Blog - Target, Visualize, and Connect,” in room number 4166 in the Broadway Edison Building at Seattle Central Community College, 1701 Broadway. Starts at 6pm.
