Saks Fifth Avenue’s new identity scheme is a series of black-and-while patterns on a grid. It’s their cursive type logo cut-up and arranged a la slide-the-tile puzzles (I am reminded of the one that came with old Macintosh computers with the apple logo). The designer at Pentagram explains how he came up with the new look.
