I went to this show a day after the massive house party they threw at the Henry Art Museum, and I’m glad. It was me, my son, and like, three other people. With the artwork all to ourselves.
I loved it.
I have to say, I’m biased.
I am a science fiction enthusiast.
So it was no wonder that a show inspired by the writings of science fiction authors was going to be a hit with DK.
If you like animation, if you like architecture, but most of all if you like drama, go check out this show at the Henry.
I went to see the Jacob Dahlgren exhibit. The dartboards were really, really funny. And fun.
But that show was (small and) by far overshadowed by Ann Lislegaard’s collection of stark, beautiful voiceover and computer-generated animation.

I enjoyed the science fiction neon-light installation the most. humorous.
Jean, thanks for the comment. Glad you enjoyed the show. Did you really find it humorous? I thought it was more… mind-warpy.
After that I took some classes on storytelling at SIFF. Have you heard of the program Frameforge? It’s for film industry folks to use to mock up a film using cameras and dollies and lighting in a virtual “3d space.”
After the demo, I could totally see how this exhibit came together.
