Today after one of our meetings, the topic came up of chiaruscuro .
We talked about strong darks and lights, large-format images.
“Kind of like Caravaggio,” I said.

It’s been a while since I thought about painterly painting.
Interestingly, they say you have to do chiaruscuro well if you want to be good at drawing graffiti, too.
