Wednesday: City Council hosts panel on future of journalism

The Seattle City Council is hosting a panel Wednesday, January 28 at 2pm on the future of journalism. They’re calling it:
“Is it Curtains for Daily Newspapers in the Culture of Democracy and Citizen Discourse?”

Among the presenters are:

  • Crosscut.com publisher David Brewster
  • UW communication professors Roger Simpson and Douglas Underwood
  • Co-Chair of the Committee for a Two Newspaper Town Anne Bremner
  • Beth Hester, programming manager for Seattle Channel
