If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you already know Design Kompany likes getting people together.
We’ve hosted Pop!, Sugar, Dazzle, and Designers’ Korners for low-key real life conversation. Best kind.
But we’re also into checking out other people’s events.
Here’re two that are kinda fun:
Open Coffee’s hosted by Andy Sack on Tuesday mornings at Louisa’s on Eastlake.
Ignite Seattle, a slideshow Tuesday, February 19, at CHAC, is hosted by Brady Forrest and says it’s for “geeks.”
What does that even mean? Anyone who makes Seattle their home has some sort of tendency to be bookish, so if that’s the criteria then, well, it’s not so distinctive a brand. Or is it? Last time I was at Ignite, people made paper airplanes and an engineer showed us how to read flight maps.
So there you are. Next Tuesday. Open Coffee in the am, and Ignite Seattle in the pm. If you’re in either neighborhood and kinda bored, why not, right? –DK
