Been doing some brushing up on the atomic packing factor of body-centered cubic crystal structures for a new idea I’m working out…
Along the way I started thinking about x-ray diffraction and small particles and what goes on at the measure of angstroms (tenth of a nanometer!!, ie 1 E-10 m). Tiny, tiny stuff! Well, relatively, of course.

And that is how I got to the topic of E=(hc)/l, the equation that nicely ties energy with the speed of light and wavelength.
I love the neatness of such tight equations in physics. h is of course Planck’s constant, 6.626068 × 10^-34 m^2 kg / s!
Here’s the scientific, formal relationship: Planck’s constant, symbolized h, relates the energy in one quantum (photon) of electromagnetic radiation to the frequency of that radiation.
I love thinking about if light is really a particle or a wave. –DK
