Design Kompany is going to Gnomedex, a blogger’s conference that starts Thursday. We’re actually designing the programs for it, which is fun. I read up on Edward Tufte’s book Envisioning Information to get some inspiration on how to share stuff like schedules and things of that orderly nature. More on that soon.
Also, Ignite Seattle happens this Wednesday, August 8 at Capitol Hill Arts Center. Starting at 8:30pm there’ll be talks on stuff like “Make Art Not Content” (!!) and nanotechnology. Sarah Schacht’s going to give a talk called “Run the Government: A Primer for Online Citizens.” Imagine ordinary Janes and Joes having a voice in how stuff’s done! -DK
