I have been getting a lot of practice at the ol’ curried chicken dish in the last four years.
If I have to go to a potluck, this is what I bring.
Tonight! Tonight is the biggest potluck of the year for DK.
Our little guy gets to meet his extended family in Japan. Japan is really interesting right now. I have to process all my impressions in this visit and tell you about it when I get home to Seattle.
For now, I just can’t get over it that I understand pretty much everything without getting tired.
I got to go to karaoke!!! And I could even read stuff this time. I’ve definitely come a long way since studying at the Kyoto Center for Japanese Studies in 199something.
Yeah. So this is what it means to be kind of fluent. I guess Akira’s been doing this in reverse since he got to the US all those years ago…
