Through the miracle of Facebook, Design Kompany got reconnected with graphic designer Mark McLawhorn, whom we comissioned for illustrations for OUR VERY FIRST branding project.
The year? 1997. (I cannot believe that was MORE THAN A DECADE ago.)
This is a picture of Mark with one of his more current sketchbook illustrations.
I still have very fond memories of our alma mater, North Carolina State University. Our work was to create a logo plus really N.C. State-y illustrations we needed for the postcards the university would send to its thousands of incoming freshmen.
We love collaboration
Since moving to Seattle, we’ve commissioned other people to work with us: Aaron Barker for illustration, Jace Krause for copywriting, and three awesome interns: Alex Hage, Angela Tomson, and this summer Victor Ng is helping us get our portfolio looking sharp.
