Wow! I just saw a little yellow flyer at Capitol Hill library about a comics drawing session there on Wednesday!
I almost missed it, since I was flipping through this book aimed at teens in really big type and casual conversational language on what to do if you think one of your friends is gay.
Anyways, about the comics!, I am so excited. A few years ago I went to Comicon, this big expo that came to Seattle, which got me into comics and graphic novels and storytelling in that form.
This coming up Wednesday’s drawing session is sponsored by Fantagraphics, the Seattle underground independent comics people I’ve been hearing about for four years. Here’s the scoop…
Come join local comic artists and teens as we draw and make our own mini-comics. Delicious snacks will be provided, of course. The “Comixtravaganza” series of events is co-sponsored by Fantagraphics Books. –Seattle Public Library
A free draw-a-thon! I think this is aimed at teens, but I’m pretty jazzed and can’t wait to crash the party.
