They asked me to do a review of the dance performance I told you about.

“How the heck do you do an art critique?” I asked my creative and literary friend Hansi Singh.
“Just write up your personal response,” she said. “This is new work, and it’s good to get honest feedback.” Hansi asked for my feedback on the newest in a line of octopii she designs and knits.
This whole adventure of thinking about and seeing art in real life inspired me to go outside and draw. So I got out the big drawing board and 18×24 sketch paper that I haven’t touched since those life drawing sessions at Art/Not Terminal. Nice to hold soft pencils again and trace outlines of plants in real time.
