‘Silence:’ Quiet 1:01 film of Yokohama by DK

I am tired of overcluttering.

Aren’t you?

So, I decided not to put a track to this video. Hence, ‘Silence:

What I love about making this series of Moving Pictures shorts is the incredible range of responses in how people view them.

So, my question for you is:

If ‘Silence’ had a track, how would it sound?

Wonderful images, a lot to think about, it does not need a soundtrack. Hello Dipika and Akira

I love these new reflections and I’d have to agree with Danny, in a sense. It could have something other than music as a soundtrack…simple hand drum sounds that are speedy with the travel under the power lines which run into quiet wind chimes with the Chinatown images. But if you were to put music to it a simple erhu tune would be lovely. Even just some gentle breeze sounds would be neat. People have written books on the power that a soundtrack can have over film. It can completely change the mood. If you put a bunch of circus music over a horror film you might have something completely different, you know…

    I really like this one.

Thanks, Danny. You were right about the Texaco deli in Clon. Best sandwiches ever.

And thanks, Mimi. I was actually going to ask Akira to play the hand drum he made in Ghana to lay a track… But the more I looked at the visuals, and the more spam I got, the further I tipped toward anti-noise.
