I just got back from a really beautiful breakfast out on the town today, but was kind of sad to hear about the possible closure of Company X. That’s where I went for food.
Not more than three seats away, the manager (MGR) sat down her worker (WKR) and began this conversation about money:
MGR: … and see, I would, if I had more money.
WKR: …
MGR: You’re all great, they’re so sweet. I’m… I would have done… It’s just this workshop I’m going to says focus on positive thinking. Because if you keep saying “if I had more time” or “if I had more money” you’re always going to be saying those things. You won’t actually change, you know what I mean?
WKR: …
MGR: I should throw a party. When… when is good for you?
WKR: Thursday is my last day. Then I’m going on a trip.
MGR: I wish… I wish this could have turned out differently.
