Today three people told us they like Design Kompany’s approach.
I was touched to hear this, as it’s not every day customers tell you how happy they are to work with you. Say they appreciate your reliability. Your professionalism. And then ask for your cards to refer friends and colleagues.
So I wanted to tell you about how we tackle design.
Number one: listen. How many times have we heard communications professionals tell us how important is to really listen, to really understand what another person is thinking.
That applies to graphic design, too. We invented a method to help people isolate the most important elements they’d like a new identity to express. It worked so well with one of our clients, now they use it on their own creative brainstorming sessions.
All of our projects start with a solid getting-to-know-you session, like a first date. Except, we’re not going to talk about ourselves. We’re going to ask good questions. Listen. Take notes. Recap to make sure we heard right. Learn how you got started, what your business’ personality is. Ask when people see your logo, what adjectives you want to pop into their minds.
We do all this to get a clear idea about who you are and what your business is about. Only then do we put pencil to the sketchpad.
