A few months ago I went to a workshop at the library on making zines.
Collage is one of my favorite ways to “sketch,” so I showed up for it.
We learned this really neat format that’s easy to xerox one 8.5″ x 14″ paper. A double sided xerox, folded and cut a certain way, yields a nice 4-page zine. You just have to make sure you put things on the photocopier the right way before pressing Go.
I made my first zine with the materials they provided in the allotted 2 hours; giving yourself a time constraint is key to getting stuff done, right?. I got to thinking I should make more…
