“What’s your pleasure, sex or sudoku?”
–so I overheard during our last installment of the 2007 season of “Designers’ Korner” meetings. It sums up nicely the kind of irrelevant, casual, comfortable vibe we wanted to create in the “korner”; I wanted a gathering of creative types that isn’t hampered by power point presentations or business card one-upmanship. This slowly evolved into a community of people, participating in exchange of ideas and creativity, in a safe, comfortable environment.
We had a great session Monday. Some more topics and overheard conversations:
- user interface design as it relates to web design and development (”–it’s like ying & yang, except there’s more than just the two” “yeah, like Jenga!”)
- how to save the earth one timer at a time, and
- how to mod a Polaroid film to fit in a über-cool, retro fold-out camera
- time-space continuum and manipulation in video art (what? yeah, I guess you had to be there).
And of course, we doodled. Here’s the flickr pool of cool coaster art we and others made (thanks, Narisa and Urban!).
Thanks for all your support in 2007. I look forward to lots more of these in 2008!

There’s another writeup by Jesse at Ramp Group here. Things I forgot to mention: 1. copyright laws (very important!) and 2. acupuncture (even more so!)
